Sports hall

Our sports hall has recently been refurbished and now includes changing rooms with toilet facilities and a new equipment storage area. It has also been fitted with high-efficiency heating. The playing surface has also been refurbished and energy efficient lighting has been installed.

These improvements will not only be hugely beneficial for the health of our pupils, but also for their social skills, as sport can be an excellent way for children to learn how to play together. We will also be saving money on heating and lighting with the new systems that have been installed.

Pupils will use the sports hall for PE and school clubs. The sports hall will also be shared with 12 community groups, including the Dearne Valley Archery Club, who have produced national champions.

The refurbished sports hall was opened by Premiership referee Howard Webb, who is from nearby Rotherham and is a sergeant in South Yorkshire Police.
