Broomhayes supports young people:

  • with a diagnosis of autism (including those with Asperger syndrome)
  • aged between 12 and 23
  • who benefit from intensive multi-agency support.

Parents and young people are always welcome to visit, but we can only complete a pre-placement assessment of a student when requested by the funding authority.

Our admissions panel will then decide whether our school can meet your child's needs, taking into account whether your child is compatible with the children already at our school, to ensure that we are able to offer the appropriate education and care.

During the first four months of the placement we complete a multi-agency assessment to finalise the support required and recommend objectives, agreed where possible with the commissioning authority. This will also inform the level of support required. We then adopt a non-exclusion approach.
