A trainee Educational Psychologist at University College London is asking parents and teachers about the educational experiences of children with Pathological Demand Avoidance, and the factors which make educational placements successful.

Clinical reports suggest that children with PDA have difficulties at school. They may require higher levels of support, require special placements, and be at higher risk of exclusion.

This research investigates children’s educational histories systematically, using a questionnaire which can be completed on your computer or on paper. The questionnaire asks parents about their child’s behaviour and educational history. The researcher is very keen for the questionnaire to be completed by as many parents as possible so that she can form as clear a picture as possible about the educational experiences of children with PDA.
