A doctoral student with the University of Birmingham, who is training to become a forensic psychologist, is researching the reasons why people with autism spectrum disorders may commit offences.
The aim is to establish the best ways to support people on the autism spectrum who may be at risk of offending, or who may have already offended and want to avoid any recurrence.
If you are on the autism spectrum (including Asperger syndrome or pervasive developmental disorder i.e. PDD-NOS), are 18 or older, and have at least one criminal conviction, the researcher would like to hear from you.
All information given will be anonymous and not traceable back to you. Only the researcher and her supervisor will study your answers.
Participation is online so please visit www.research-asd.org.uk to take part.
