For most of us the Christmas season is full of fun, laughter and family, but for people with autism it can be a particularly difficult time: they may be confused and frightened by sudden changes of routine, unusual foods and new social activities.

Holding a FestiviTea Party is a great way to get together with friends and family and raise money to help us improve the lives of people living with autism.

Read these great stories from people who threw a FestiviTea Party last year and see what it's all about.

Joan and Julia's white Christmas

Joan and her friend Julia held a FestiviTea Party at Joan's home in Worcestershire. They served cakes to neighbours and friends, played games and made up a fantastic recipe book which they sold for 50p a copy. The event was all the more festive when it snowed! "I was amazed at the generosity of my guests to the NAS", says Joan.

Louise's cake sale and raffle

"We actually had prizes people wanted to have!", exclaimed Louise. Louise threw a big cake sale and raffle at her home in Cambridge, and even got local businesses involved. She was so happy with the turn out that she wants to hold three more parties this year.

Asma's house party
