Give out this quiz to your guests at a £1 or 50p a go and give a prize to the winner.
- Raffle off extra-special cakes or biscuits, or prizes donated by local companies.
- Have a ‘guess the weight’ competition for a Christmas pudding.
- For those looking for that last minute Christmas gift, turn your tea party into a craft fair and charge per stall, or take a proportion of the profits.
- Give your event a theme and ask your guests to come in fancy dress – you could ask people to pay a ‘fine’ if they don’t dress up!
- Let your guests choose the backing music and charge £1 for three tracks to be played from their ipod or MP3 player.
- Guess the quote – gather a list of famous quotes from Christmas films and ask your guests to guess which film they are from.
- If your event is after Christmas, why not have an unwanted-present swap-shop, and ask you guests to donate to take part.
- Throw in some good old-fashioned games like musical chairs, ask guests to pay a small amount to take part, and give out prizes to the winners.
- Raise money by adding Karaoke and invite your guests to sing their favourite Christmas song.
- Rather than tea and coffee, why not hold a G & Festivi-T party and serve gin and tonic?
- Spread a bit of sparkle and ask your local department store to hold a FestiviTea Party, opening up their makeup desk for Christmas makeovers and serving cup cakes and champagne.
