Taking part in a challenge event is a great way to fundraise for The National Autistic Society.
As a charity, we rely on the support of people like you to help us improve the lives of people living with autism.
About the event
Date: All year round
Location: Tanzania
Duration: 12 days
Follow in the footsteps of Comic Relief's celebrity trekkers and climb Kilimanjaro. Experience dramatic African scenery, spot native wildlife and take on the challenge of conquering one of the world's greatest mountains.
Our trek uses an alternative, un-crowded route to the peak starting in the rainforests of Lemosho Glades and heading upwards as we acclimatise on Shira Plateau. From here we'll catch a glimpse of our goal: Kibo, Kilimanjaro's main, ice-capped peak. We continue via the beautiful Southern Flank, Barranco Wall and Barafu Route.
Temperatures drop at night, allowing us to enjoy the crisp, cool air under the star-studded African skies. During the days we'll climb higher; often looking down on a sea of clouds.
