The Virgin London Marathon is the largest annual fundraising event on the planet - runners have raised over £500 million for good causes since the race first began in 1981. Every April, 37,000 runners flood the streets of the capital to take part in this incredible day.
The race starts at Greenwich Park and Blackheath, goes over Tower Bridge, through Canary Wharf, along the Embankment, to a royal finish on The Mall at Buckingham Palace.
