Meeting your MP is one of the most effective ways to raise issues and concerns with the Government.
As part of our Who benefits? campaign, we are looking for people with autism, family members and carers to meet their MP to explain how important Disability Living Allowance (DLA) is to them. This is one of the most effective ways to make sure that our messages get through to the Government and to help us change the system for the better.
MPs are there to represent you in parliament. They want to hear from their constituents so that they know about the issues that matter to you.
We know that meeting your MP might seem daunting. That's why we have put together a pack to help make it easy for you.
If you want any further help, please call us on 020 7923 5799 or email campaign@nas.org.uk
If you do arrange a meeting with your MP, please call us and let us know. It's very helpful to us if we know that you have met your MP – we might be able to ask them to help us more with our work in parliament.
Good luck.
