Work and benefits are vital so that people with autism and their families can get the financial support they need to live their lives.
We are working to improve the benefits system so that it recognises the specific needs of people with autism. In particular we focus on Disability Living Allowance and Employment Support Allowance, which replaces Incapacity Benefit.
We also want to make sure the right support is in place to help people work.
