The Welsh Assembly Government’s Fulfilled Lives, Supportive Communities strategy is addressed primarily to local authorities, who have the responsibility for strategic planning, arranging the provision of services to meet needs, for undertaking assessments and care management of those who need help and support and for safeguarding vulnerable adults and children.

What we’re doing

The National Autistic Society (NAS) Cymru has responded to the Welsh Assembly Government’s consultation on the Fulfilled Lives, Supportive Communities Commissioning Framework and Guidance. The guidance is aimed at helping local authorities achieve effective social care commissioning.

The Welsh Assembly Government will now consult on a Commissioning Framework and Guidance for People with Learning Disabilities, and NAS Cymru will make a response to this.
